Aston Martins Added to Enterprise Exotic Car Fleet

More than a dozen vehicles from Aston Martin, best known for being James Bond’s go to car of choice, have found their way into the Enterprise Rent-A-Car lineup. The car rental company announced Tuesday from its St. Louis headquarters that 15 Aston Martin automobiles are being added to its Exotic Car Collection fleet.

Enterprise confirmed that it acquired six Aston Martin DB11 Volante convertibles and nine of the manufacturer’s Vantage coupes. The company added that the vehicles will become available at centers located in Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami, Naples, Nashville, New York City, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle, Southern California and Washington, D.C.

According to Enterprise, the vehicles make up the largest Aston Martin fleet available for booking by any car rental company. Two other Aston Martin models, the DB9 and the Rapide S, were the first cars by the auto maker to be included in the Enterprise collection in 2016.

“Getting behind the wheel of a car as iconic as an Aston Martin is something many car enthusiasts dream about, and we’re committed to providing high-end renters with this kind of dream-come-true experience,” said Kyle Sabie, Enterprise’s corporate rental manager. “As the demand for exotic car rentals grows, we’re excited to expand our collection of exotic and premium vehicles with the DB11 Volante and Vantage.”

Both Enterprise and Aston Martin Americas anticipate the sleekness associated with the brand will go over well with the car rental company’s more high-end clientele. Older clients weaned on the espionage thrillers of Ian Fleming’s fabled 007 operative are particularly in the sights of Enterprise.

The DB11 might not have the artillery available on the movie versions of the Aston Martin but it does boast a 503 horsepower V12 engine that can accelerate from zero to 60 in 3.6 seconds. A light design combined with a rigid chassis reportedly makes the vehicle easy to handle, especially at high speeds. Meanwhile, the Vantage offers the same engine as well as a seven-speed transmission.

Despite the unpredictability of the economy, Enterprise has reported an increasing demand from its more high-end renter base wanting to book luxury vehicles ever since the company established its Exotic Car Collection in 2006.

Besides the addition of the Aston Martins, the Enterprise collection contains other luxury cars including several models by Audi, BMW, Bentley, Jaguar, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Tesla. Enterprise outlets in more than 60 locations across the country carry part of the luxury fleet.
