BLUEBIRD INTRODUCES BILLING BRIDGE FOR NATIONAL CAR RENTAL – CANADA

Dover, NJ USA. – Bluebird Auto Rental Systems (BARS) announced that they have implemented a “billing bridge” with National Car Rental licensees in Canada.

On a nightly basis, rental agreements are transmitted to the Odyssey information system and data warehouse. From there, numerous processes are performed on behalf of the licensee to improve the communication of all locations – licensees as well as corporate – with respect to vehicle movement and corporate account activity.

“We are pleased to offer the module to our National Car Rental customers in Canada”, stated Phil Jones, Vice President of Bluebird Auto Rental Systems. “Our relationship with the licensee base goes way back to the mid 1980s when they were known as Tilden Car Rental. Now that they are part of National Car Rental, we have been working closely with Perot Systems to automate many of the back office processes.”

The roll-out of both the Billing Bridge and Reservation Link has already begun. It is anticipated that all licensee locations using Bluebird software will be live by the end of the year.
